Election Proclamation Available
An election proclamation is a valuable source of information about an electoral event. In one page, it provides a constituency map, all polling locations, as well as details on voting times and returning office information. Our returning officer is responsible for providing candidates with copies of the proclamation, but I wanted to make sure that all of you have timely access as well.
I have attached a copy of the election proclamation to this communique. It can also be found on our website under “Proclamation” within the Regina Northeast by-election section of the site.
Preliminary Voters List
As I said last week, the preliminary voters list is now available. As a reminder, you can access the list by going to https://portal.elections.sk.ca/ and entering the credentials we have provided.
Upcoming Deadlines
Finally, a reminder of two important upcoming deadlines. Monday, August 27 will be the deadline for each party to satisfy the requirements of section 226 of The Election Act, 1996 and is also the nomination deadline for candidates in this by-election.
