Preliminary Voters List, Locations Update & More
Preliminary Voters List
A preliminary voters list has been placed onto Elections Saskatchewan’s FTP download site. If you downloaded a copy of this list from your folder before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, you will want to download this new file.
If you have trouble accessing the files or if you cannot remember your credentials, you will need to contact Son Lu. A/Director of IT, at [email protected].
Voting Locations – Updated File
On Tuesday, October 1, I provided you with a file containing voting location information including all PCF and HRT polls. Since then, we have found a small number of errors in that file, primarily related to PCF and HRT voting. An updated document containing all of these voting locations is attached.
While most of the issues were related to PCFs and HRT voting opportunities, which you and your candidates may not have dug into yet, there were four early voting locations that have changed from what we provided to you. Given how important early voting locations will be for your candidates and their campaigns, I wanted to ensure you were specifically aware of these four:

Election Proclamations
The Election Act, 1996 requires my office to create and distribute election proclamations. The proclamation is like a “snapshot” of the election in each constituency – showing voting locations, times, returning officer contact information and more.
We know, of course, that there are other ways to find all of this information, but the proclamation makes it all available in one spot. Proclamation files are being uploaded as I send this Communique to you and will be available soon from our event landing page: https://www.elections.sk.ca/electoralevents/october-2024-provincial-election/.
Reminder – Update to Register of Political Parties – Section 226
A reminder that Section 226 of The Election Act, 1996 required registered political parties to update (or to confirm) the information found in the register of political parties within ten days of the writs of election being issued. The leader or chief official agent of a party must also inform the Chief Electoral Officer as to how they wish the name of the party or its abbreviation (or both) to appear on the ballot and other election documents. This is also an opportunity for your party leader to designate a representative to endorse candidates for the election if they wish to do so.
This notice is completed using the E-515 “Confirmation of Party Details/Designation of Representatives for an Election Period” form, which I provided to you earlier this week. This form must be submitted to Jennifer Colin ([email protected]) before 5:00 p.m. on October 11, 2024.
Financial Agent Inquiries
Just a reminder that candidate financial agents can contact us directly at 1-866-351-0448. This will save them time versus contacting our public call centre and having their questions escalated to head office.
