Voting

       Regular and Personal Care Facility Polls

Regular polling places are open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Election Day, November 7, 2007, providing the Province's eligible voters with the opportunity to exercise their democratic franchise. In addition poll officials will also be visiting personal care facilities and personal care homes at times that have been communicated to the residents.

       Advance Polls

On the 1st, 2nd and 5th of November from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CST and the 3rd and 4th of November from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST, one hundred and fifty-six (156) advance polls will be conducted in the Province's fifty-eight (58) constituencies. Advance polls are available for voters who expect, for any reason, to be unable to vote at their regular polling station on election day.

       Special Polls

In addition to advance polls and the 2,722 regular election day polling places, seventy-four (74) special polling places, inclusive of sixty-nine (69) hospital polls and five (5) remand centre polls are established for those voters institutionally confined on election day.

       Absentee Voter

Eligible voters unable to attend an advance, regular or special poll are entitled to vote by absentee ballot. You may request an Absentee Voter Application Form (E-127A).
